Kim Lueders has been a practicing Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) since earning her credentials in 2016. In preparation for certification, she graduated from the Mass Midwives Alliance Basic Midwifery course in 2010 and apprenticed with a local CPM for 6 years.
Kim’s midwifery journey began with the birth of her first child in 1994. She has been learning about pregnancy and birth since then. After giving birth to two more children using both obstetricians and midwives, she became committed to a gentler birth experience with the body leading the way, allowing the process to unfold naturally. At that time, Kim received certification with DONA International, the leading doula certifying organization, and she completed training in Hypnobirthing for doulas. As a doula, she has assisted mothers with natural childbirth, cesarean birth, medicated birth, and homebirth. In addition to being a midwife, Kim also provides doula services to families of all backgrounds, and she has a special interest in assisting teen parents.
Kim is certified in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation. She is currently enrolled in Aviva Romm's Herbal Medicine for Women class. Kim has extensive experience with the energetic and spiritual aspects of birth. She has had training in tai chi, reiki, and animal communications and these have all led her to a deeper understanding of the natural instincts of birthing women. Kim has enjoyed the homeschool process with her 4 children and she now owns a horse farm where she cares for 3 horses.
