Kathy Gorman, certified Master Reiki Practitioner

Kathy Gorman is a certified Master Reiki Practitioner, having
completed the traditional Usui system of Reiki healing in levels 1-3
with acclaimed Reiki Master Teacher, Libby Barnett at the Steinberg
Wellness Center for Mind and Body at the Emerson Hospital. Kathy
is also a member of the International Association of Reiki
Professionals.

Kathy was a small business owner in the community for over 25
years. She loves working with people, getting to know them, and has
a passion for wanting to bring calming comfort to those around her.
She has always been drawn to helping people, and has a deep
spiritual background which she firmly believes has led her on this
journey of Reiki wellness. Kathy has been involved in providing
comfort and support to family, friends, and her fur babies during their
illnesses, and was inspired to take this journey of Reiki to provide
them with a higher level of peacefulness and well being. She believes
deeply in kindness and the power of faith in one another to work
together towards a more loving tomorrow.

She uses a gentle “hands on” approach in her Reiki treatment and
she relies on her empathy and faith to guide her in each individual
treatment process. Kathy listens to the individual needs of each
client and allows the energy to guide her process. Our bodies have
an innate ability to heal themselves, but first we need to be released
of the negative toxins and allow the flow of energy to come in and
bring our bodies to a state of complete relaxation and stress
reduction. This in turn, strengthens our immune systems, leading to
better sleep and overall wellness.

Reiki is a wonderful tool to use as a compliment to traditional
medicine. Reiki is being used in many hospitals as a complimentary
modality to reduce the length of hospital stays. It is overwhelmingly
encouraging that this peaceful and gentle modality is being recognized by the medical community as a helpful tool to offer comfort to patients and their families.
