Forms of hypnosis have been used since at least the time of the ancient Greeks and Egyptians. Multiple theories exist on how hypnosis works. A classic explanation holds that hypnosis allows access to the unconscious mind, in a state of receptivity, where suggestions can be introduced to promote positive change.
There is a saying in the field that states, “all hypnosis is self-hypnosis”. This refers to the fact that the hypnosis client drives the session and with the hypnotists help, the client’s determination leads to the success of the treatment. It is the client who comes up with the goal, and in many respects, the methodology of the individualized hypnosis treatment. During the session, the client is aware of what is going on at all times. You will not be asked to do anything uncomfortable, or against your will. You will not be turned into a chicken. You remain in control. Most hypnosis clients describe having a pleasant experience during treatment, including a feeling of relaxation and calm. Frank has utilized hypnosis successfully to help clients with the following;
stress reduction anxiety
craving control public speaking
phobias weight reduction
self-esteem sports and academic performance
insomnia weight loss …and many other issues!
